Prototyping Tools

Autodesk software is an integral part of the Product Design Lab.  Lab assistants (LAs) are available during open lab hours and course office hours to assist anyone with CAD software or lab equipment. Check out our open lab hours here.  If you can’t make those times please email, and we can schedule a visit!  Pictured: Lucas Mohs, Alexis Roels, Kushagra Mittal, Christina Chen, Dhun Patel, Kinga Wrobel, Marilyn Sedlak, Nick Eikelberner, RuthAnn Haefli. Autodesk representatives visit the U of I campus to demonstrate new software features and how students can utilize them. In 2019, Mr. Banach spoke on Autodesk’s generative design feature in Fusion 360. Student representatives hold Fusion 360 tutorials throughout the semester to help students get started with their designs. If you’re interested in Fusion 360, please email the Autodesk student representative (contacts found here).
